Time flies when you're plundering history.

Farway Gaius McCarthy was born outside of time. The son of a time-travelling Recorder from 2354 AD and a gladiator living in Rome in 95 AD, Far's birth defies the laws of nature. Exploring history himself is all he's ever wanted, and after failing his final time-travelling exam, Far takes a position commanding a ship with a crew of his friends as part of a black market operation to steal valuables from the past.

But during a heist on the sinking Titanic, Far meets a mysterious girl who always seems to be one step ahead of him. Armed with knowledge that will bring Far's very existence into question, she will lead Far and his team on a race through time to discover a frightening truth: History is not as steady as it seems.

Review (99 words):

Man does this book check all my boxes. I LOVE time travel, and the fact that it's combined with YA drama sealed the deal for me! Gaudrin has this amazing capability of sucking you into the story, and this story I couldn't put down! The world building was fantastic, and she created this place where I wanted to live. Additionally, each character was lovable, and quirky in the best of ways. The mystery that is solved in the last chapters had me flipping pages as fast as possible! That this is a standalone is a TRAGEDY unlike no other...

Rating:

5/5 Stars

That's it for today friends! I'll see you soon again!

And friends, I think I have found it (at least for the time being). Keep in mind that I am calling this post my best READ of 2020, not BOOK, because I am aware that this book was published in 2019.
